حمید اخوی نویسنده، پژوهشگر و کنشگر اجتماعی ایرانی ساکن ایالات متحده است. او بیش از چهار دهه در حوزهٔ آموزش عالی، مدیریت دانشگاهی و سازماندهی اجتماعی فعالیت داشته و سالهای طولانی ریاست دانشکدهٔ علوم، فناوری، مهندسی و ریاضیات را بر عهده داشته است.
تجربهٔ دانشگاهی و مدیریتی او، در کنار کار جمعی و کنش اجتماعی، زمینهٔ اصلی شکلگیری نگاهش به پیوند میان فناوری، آگاهی، آزادی و سازمان اجتماعی را فراهم کرده است. او تحولات عصر هوش مصنوعی را نه صرفاً پیشرفتهایی فنی، بلکه نیرویی تاریخی میداند که میتواند شیوهٔ تولید، توزیع قدرت، مشارکت شهروندان و تصور انسان از آینده را دگرگون کند.
تجربهٔ مبارزاتی و دفاع از حقوق بشر
حمید اخوی در دفاع از حقوق بشر و مبارزه با مجازات اعدام فعالیت مستمر داشته است. او از برگزارکنندگان و سخنرانان پیکار «سهشنبههای نه به اعدام» در واشنگتن دیسی است؛ حرکتی در همبستگی با زندانیان و خانوادههای محکومان به اعدام و در دفاع از کرامت و حق حیات انسان.
نظم اجتماعی در عصر آگاهی
این پروژه حاصل سالها مطالعه، تجربه و گفتوگو دربارهٔ بحرانهای نظم موجود و امکان شکلگیری نظمی تازه است؛ نظمی که در آن فناوری و هوش مصنوعی در خدمت گسترش آگاهی، آزادی، خلاقیت، مشارکت مستقیم و شکوفایی انسان قرار گیرند.

Hamid Akhavi is an Iranian-American author, researcher, and social activist based in the United States. For more than four decades, he has worked in higher education, university administration, and community organizing, including many years as dean of a college of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
His academic and administrative experience, together with collective work and social activism, has shaped his inquiry into the relationships among technology, consciousness, freedom, and social organization. He approaches artificial intelligence not merely as a technical advance, but as a historical force capable of transforming production, the distribution of power, civic participation, and humanity’s understanding of the future.
Activism and Human Rights
Akhavi has remained active in the defense of human rights and the campaign against capital punishment. He is an organizer and speaker in the “Tuesdays Against Executions” campaign in Washington, D.C., a movement expressing solidarity with prisoners and the families of people sentenced to death while defending human dignity and the right to life.
Social Order in the Age of Consciousness
This project grows from years of study, experience, and dialogue about the crises of the existing order and the possibility of a new one—an order in which technology and artificial intelligence serve the expansion of awareness, freedom, creativity, direct participation, and human flourishing.
